Description
Later this year, MHK Tabletop will be hosting a war game featuring almost 20,000 hand painted miniatures stretching across a 500-square foot battle map, bringing the historic medieval battle of Agincourt to life. This will be the largest commercial wargame ever.
Rather than a recreation, on October 24, 2026, players will take command of the English and French forces and see if they can keep history the same or rewrite it. The event will be hosted at MHK Tabletop at 1455 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan, KS.
The event will show just how grand medieval battles really were. Often historical adaptations of battles are scaled down and desaturated. This war game will have massive armies, decorated with bright colors and accurate flags.
Work began in September 2025. Every miniature soldier had to be printed, painted and placed by hand. Since then, 9,000 of the figures have been completed and the game has been tested twice.
In October, there will be nearly 20,000 soldiers on the playing field with 23 players taking command. Slots for players are available and can be purchased at: mhktabletop.com/agincourt. There are also seats available for those who wish to watch.
This is the first wargame MHK Tabletop will be hosting as part of the Grand Battles Manhattan program. Future games will cover other notable fights of the 100 Years War, American Revolution, Civil War and more.
Agincourt is one of the most important medieval battles in history. Fought in 1415 between England and France, the battle was an attempt by the newly crowned Henry the 5th of England to continue the 100 Years War.
After a campaign across France, Henry’s forces had been reduced to just 6,200 men. Henry moved to retreat. However, Charles d’Albret of France moved to cut them off at the town of Agincourt with 13,000 men. Outnumbered 2:1, but having no other option, the English attacked. At the moment of the English advance, the game will begin.
