Riley County Appraiser, Anna Burson

The County Appraiser is responsible for the discovery, listing, and the uniform and equitable appraisal of all taxable and exempt real and personal property in compliance with the Constitution and statutes of the state of Kansas for tax purposes.

Anna Burson has served as Riley County Appraiser since May 2022. She earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Wichita State University. Before accepting the Riley County Appraiser position, Burson served as Deputy County Appraiser for Cowley County and a senior residential appraiser for Sedgwick County.
