This is a morning coffee event designed for young professionals looking to connect\, learn\, and grow. Whether you're building your network or exploring new ideas\, this is the perfect space for meaningful conversations!\nTerry Holdren joined Kansas Farm Bureau in 2003. He has served as a lobbyist\, general counsel and was named CEO/general counsel in 2013.As CEO of the state's largest general farm organization\, Holdren continually focuses on the organization's mission of strengthening agriculture and the lives of Kansas through advocacy\, education and service. With his leadership\, Kansas Farm Bureau gained statutory approval to offer Farm Bureau members of Kansas access to affordable and reliable health coverage through Kansas Farm Bureau Health Plans. The innovative solution to high healthcare costs rolled out October 2019 and today covers more than 19\,000 Kansans. Other policy work focused on energy\, broadband\, farm policy\, risk management\, housing and rural economies continues.During his tenure leadership programs have been built and enhanced to offer members premiere skill-building opportunities through Leadership KFB and the Casten Fellows. To focus resources and services in communities the organization rolled a campaign to End Hunger\, which looks to build strong connections between county Farm Bureaus\, Farm Bureau Financial Services agents and communities to create secure local food systems across the state. KFB's recent addition of Shop Kansas Farms to its arsenal of tools will broaden the focus on local food systems and create a marketplace for producers seeking direct to consumer access for their products. In addition\, the Rural Kansas Apprenticeship Program (RKAP) and Engaged Kansas seek to address workforce shortages and encourage civic engagement.A native of Syracuse\, in Hamilton County\, Holdren's family operated the local weekly newspaper and joined family farm activities in Bear Creek township.He holds a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Bethany College in Lindsborg and a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka.Terry and his wife Natalie have two children and reside in Manhattan.
