DESCRIPTION:When a good employee leaves\, owners often assume it was about money. Usually it wasn't. This 90-minute\, in-person workshop reframes retention as a leadership issue rather than a pay-and-perks issue\, and gives small-business owners practical levers they can pull without a big budget or an HR department\, and it does it hands-on. Using the LEGO Serious Play methodology\, participants build models of what makes someone stay versus leave\, making retention drivers visible and discussable in a way a worksheet can't. Because burnout is one of the most common and most preventable reasons good people walk\, owners then build a model of their team's current "load\," turning the burnout diagnostic into something they can see\, share\, and adjust. This workshop meets that priority head-on. For a small team\, losing one good person is expensive and disruptive\, and most of the causes\, weak leadership signals and preventable burnout\, are within an owner's control once they know what to look for.
