Military Relations Lunch April 1, 2026

At the April Military Relations Committee Luncheon, representatives from KANSASWORKS will present on employment resources available to veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses. The presentation will highlight how KANSASWORKS connects military-affiliated job seekers with career opportunities, workforce training, and employers across Kansas.

The session will outline services such as career counseling, resume assistance, job placement support, training programs, and individualized employment plans, all designed to help service members successfully transition from military service to civilian careers. Special emphasis will be placed on the priority of service provided to veterans, ensuring they receive early access to employment opportunities and workforce programs.

The presentation will also discuss partnerships with employers, workforce centers, and programs such as KanVet, which serves as a centralized portal connecting veterans and their families to employment, education, and support resources across the state.

Overall, the briefing will demonstrate how KANSASWORKS supports military transition success while strengthening the regional workforce pipeline, helping retain talented service members and their families in Kansas after military service.
